While I was researching yesterday's article about philanthropy, I learned a new word: altruistic. And I knew it was a word I wanted to teach my little girl. Today, learn a new word and teach it to your kids. But make sure that you do more than simply share the word and its definition. Act out that word throughout the day. So, whether you choose altruism, charity, selfless, or generosity, come up with a way to put it into practice. You can find some great ideas here. Teach your children new words by showing them exactly what they mean.
